Maillardville French Classes

SUMMER SESSION

Do you want to learn or perfect your French? 

Société francophone de Maillardville (SFM) offers a series of courses in sequence to allow students to acquire basic structure and vocabulary of fundamental French.  Each level has 10 consecutive lessons in the series and advanced classes are also offered.

Classes are weekly and take place at the SFM’s office: 942 b, Brunette Avenue, Coquitlam.

The cost is $150 (for 10 lessons) – including your membership at SFM.

The Summer Session is going to start the week of June 27, 2017 and will end the week of August 28, 2017.

  • Beginner Level 1: Every Tuesday, from 8 to 9:30 pm OR every Wednesday, from 6:15 to 7:45 pm
  • Beginner Level 2:  Every Wednesday, from 8 to 9:30 pm
  • Level 3 (advanced level): Every Tuesday, from 6:15 to 7:45 pm

Beginner Level 1

  • Basics of French
  • Phonetics and French sounds
  • Articles and gender of nouns
  • Auxiliary be and have
  • Verbs of the first group
  • Dialogues and reading text

Level 2

  • Revision of Level 1
  • Verbs of the 2nd and 3rd groups
  • Demonstrative and Possessive adjectives
  • Learning past tense: perfect tense and imperfect
  • Dialogues and reading text

We ask every new student to take a test to determine the best class for you (unless beginner 1). To request a test, contact us at info(at)maillardville.com

* We reserve the right to cancel a class prior to the beginning of the series if we do not receive a sufficient number of registrants for the class (minimum of 7 students per class). If a class is cancelled by the SFM, registration fees will be refunded unless students can transfer to another class.
