Every year, the French-Canadian National Day is a memorable community celebration in Maillardville!
This year, the celebrations will be in two different places:
– Canada Place (Vancouver) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
– Chez Nous’ building (209 Lebleu Street, Maillardville, Coquitlam) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m
Come Chez Nous (Maillardville) with your loved ones to celebrate the French culture with us: attend live music shows, try the Crankie workshops, our selfie challenge, win goodies, taste the food, get nice souvenirs…
We encourage everyone to bring guitars, harmonicas, accordions or any other instruments you may have to make this event a real block party!
Music played live by Podorythmie, at Maillardville! Podorythmie, with its Quebecois “foot rhythms”, is a five-member band hailing from the U.S, France and Canada. They are known for their high energy and good time performances of Quebecois and Cape Breton music and dance. Fiddle, accordion, songs and lots of hard shoe step dancing shows makes their performances full of surprises.
This celebration is FREE to attend and welcomes the whole family!
